How to make a custom birthday song for someone in minutes
Turn a trending track into a personalized birthday surprise clip with your own voice — solo or with a group.
April 10, 2026
Birthday cards are forgettable. A short clip of you and your friends singing a personalized cover together is not. Here is the fastest way to make one on VibeSing — the whole thing takes about ten minutes.
Option A — Solo birthday clip
If you want to make the clip yourself and send it, start by recording your voice in the Voices tab (about 30 seconds). Train the clone, then pick a trending track that fits the birthday person's taste — browse by country and genre to find the right vibe. Generate the cover, then in the Clips tab add a dedication in the share card. Share the link directly or export the short video.
Song picking tip
Pick something the birthday person would recognize from the charts — a song they have been streaming lately is more personal than a classic. Check the weekly trend feed for their home country.
Option B — Get the whole friend group singing
Make your clip first, then send the share page to the group chat. Every friend can hit "Make your version" and record the same song in their own voice — a chain of birthday covers lands better than one. (Band Mode, where everyone's voices blend into a single shared clip, is on the roadmap.)
- Generate your own birthday cover first
- Copy the share link from the Clips tab
- Drop it in the group chat with a challenge: "your turn"
- Each friend taps Make your version and records their own take
- Collect the links and send them all to the birthday person
Making it personal
The share card fields make all the difference. Set the headline to the person's name, add a lyric excerpt from a song you both love, or write a short dedication. The preview card will show this text when you share the link — it makes the moment feel crafted rather than algorithmic.
