#BirthdayHeadliner — Their Song, Your Voice, Their Day

The challenge: make the birthday person the headliner of the dedication, not the voice model. Cover their favorite song in your recorded voice. Put their name on the share card. Send the link. Post (if they would like that) with #BirthdayHeadliner.

This is the same ethic as birthday gifts and birthday surprises, with a hashtag so people stop asking how to "clone them as a prank." You do not train on a voicemail, a drunk karaoke video, or a clip from their Instagram. If they did not sit in the studio and read the prompts, it is not their clone. Can I clone someone else's voice? — no, not even on their birthday.

The rules (there are barely any)

1. Consent first, always. The birthday person does not have to know about the gift. They do have to exist as a person you will not impersonate. Surprise is "I covered Flowers for you." Surprise is not "I made a fake you."
2. Your mic. Three English samples, your account. Friends can each make their own version from your share page. That is a chorus of friends, which is the point.
3. Their song. Ask the group chat, check the wrapped screenshot, pick the artist they actually stream — Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Benson Boone, whoever. Espresso, good luck, babe!, Beautiful Things are examples, not a required list.
4. Their name on the card, not a roast they cannot unsee in a screenshot. The page is as public as the URL.
5. Hashtag only if they are okay being public. A private link in the family thread still counts as entering. #BirthdayHeadliner is for people who want the clip findable.

Why this works

People cry at effort plus recognition, not at a deepfake of their own laugh. Hearing a friend on the song they played all year is specific. Hearing an AI of themselves they did not agree to is a different, worse party story. You also skip the part where you ask a shy person to sing. You do not need to know how to sing; they do not have to either unless they want to tap Make your version later as an encore.

A group of friends all remaking the same track is the headliner bill: six opening acts, same song, no Band Mode required. A blended everyone-on-one-file render is still roadmap.

How to enter

1. Open the studio. Record three short English samples in a quiet room — not at the party, not next to the speaker.
2. Pick their song (demo, or upload you have rights to). Generate.
3. Write the dedication like a toast: name, year, one memory. Send the share page. Optional: collect remakes from the friend group and send them as a list.
4. If you post, #BirthdayHeadliner, and do not imply you cloned them.

Free: 100 credits a month (~10 songs), one lifetime training. Train 10, clip 10. One gift should fit. Record the night before, not in the rideshare.

Featured versions

We feature gifts that are clearly the giver's voice, with a dedication that names the person without impersonating them. Prank clones will not be featured. They should not be made.
