Does AI Voice Cloning Work on iPhone?
Yes. VibeSing is a mobile-optimized web studio — Safari on iPhone is a normal way to record samples and generate a cover. You do not need a USB mic.
Yes — the phone in your pocket is the usual setup
Most first clips on VibeSing are recorded on a phone. The studio is a website, not a separate iOS install: open Studio in Safari, grant microphone access, read the three prompts. Built-in iPhone mics are clean enough that a $200 USB microphone is an upgrade, not a requirement.
Android works the same way in Chrome. The iPhone question is just the one people type.
The settings that actually matter on iOS
- Allow the microphone when Safari asks. If you tapped Don't Allow last week, it fails silently until you flip it in Settings → Safari → Microphone.
- Do not record the sample in Voice Memos and then try to "use" a compressed share. Record in the studio so the file is not run through a messaging codec.
- Headphones for playback, speaker is fine for recording. You are checking the clone, not monitoring live like a session singer.
- Lock orientation / stay in the tab while training finishes. A reload rejoins the job; starting over does not help.

What does not work well on a phone
- Recording in a car, a bathroom with hard tile echo, or next to a TV. Quiet room.
- Using speakerphone while someone talks in the same room.
- Uploading a 30 MB lossless file on free — the free ceiling is 4 MB. Pick a demo track or compress the song.
After it generates
Listen on AirPods, not the tiny speaker, before you judge the clone. Then open the share page and send it. You do not need to export a project file or sideload an app.
Open the studio on the phone you already have. That is the intended path, not a compromise.
