#PassTheChorus — Chain Remakes of the Same Hook

The challenge: start (or continue) a chain. One song, one hook, a new voice every time. You generate it, you send the share page, they tap Make your version, they send it on. Post yours with #PassTheChorus and tag who you passed to.

This is not a group mix. Nobody assigns verses. Band Mode would be one file with parts — that is roadmap, not this hashtag. This is the thing that already works: parallel covers, same track, consented mics.

The rules (there are barely any)

1. Same song down the chain. If you received Espresso, you remake Espresso. Starting a chain? Pick a hook people already know so the fifth person still recognizes it — APT., As It Was, Shape of You. See what a song hook is.
2. Your voice. Three English samples, your account. Do not "help" them by recording into your phone as them.
3. Pass with the link. The button is on the share page. A file dump in Discord without the URL breaks the chain. Friends can remake your cover.
4. Name the previous voice in the caption ("passed from @…") so it reads as a relay, not a random cover.
5. One hashtag. #PassTheChorus.

Why this works

A single AI cover is a novelty. A chain is a group photo where everyone still has their own face. The comment section becomes comparison, not "is this legal celebrity audio." Each person only owes the studio 30 seconds of talking. No singing required.

It also scales across time zones, which a "everyone hop on a call" fantasy does not. Discord servers, group chats, sibling threads — same mechanic as Discord communities, with a hashtag so strangers can join a public chain.

Pick a forgiving chorus if you want the chain to survive people with messy rooms. Chant and mid-range pop hide a speaking clone. A power duet will make half the chain sound thin and they will blame the challenge.

How to enter

1. Open the studio. If someone sent you a share page, use Make your version on that page instead — it keeps the song.
2. Record three short English samples. Generate if you are starting; generate the remake if you are continuing.
3. Post with #PassTheChorus. Paste the share URL in the caption or the first comment so the next person does not have to hunt.
4. Nominate one human, not "anyone." Chains die in mass @everyone.
